Siemens Energy Management is looking to recruit an experience Construction Manager to join the team in Dublin. This position is to; represent the Company on major construction sites, take full responsibility and accountability for the safe and timely delivery and coordination of the site construction, installation, test and commissioning element and associated activities across assigned project sites The successful Construction Manager will report to the Siemens Construction Support Manager for none project specific line management and also to the Project Manager on assigned projects for all project deliverables. What are my responsibilities? - The Site Manager represents the Project Manager on site and therefore has full responsibility for day-to-day site activities - To be responsible for, actively managing, monitoring and reporting on all site based budgetary issues, - including authorisation of Staff and Contractor timesheets - Assist in the implementation of Zero Harm and supporting initiatives, including site forums, stand-down days and presentations - To be responsible for and ensure compliance with Site Manager's responsibility and duties as detailed in the Site Management Manual - Maintain and build on existing long-term customer business relationships, ensuring customer needs are fully understood and anticipated across the Siemens EM TS business streams - To carry out staff training, site inductions and ensure compliance with site rules in line with the Site Management Manual - Liaison with field estimating engineers and Energy Management tendering function to ensure sign onto scope, schedule, budget and resource requirements of tenders before submission What do I need to qualify for this role? - Diploma/qualification in management - Diploma or equivalent in Heath Safety, Environmental and Quality management - Formal qualifications to HND/HNC level in Electrical Engineering related subject - Recognised Engineering/Construction related Training & Certification - IOSH certificate managing safety & IOSH certificate in environmental management - NEBOSH general certificate preferred but not essential - Extensive experience in a Site Management role, managing an Electricity Supply Industry construction site - Experience in construction leadership roles - Experienced in all substation site activities including plant, civil, commissioning and health, safety and - Knowledge of environmental legislation and practice - Knowledge of T&D Customer Networks working procedures and authorisations - Engineering awareness - M&E/Civil/Structural - Requires the presence and personal qualities necessary to effectively monitor and control the site - such as people management skills, verbal and written communication skills Siemens provides innovative solutions to help tackle the UK's major challenges.
